Mobile telescopic boom conveyor, traversing on tracks
Four Caljan BeltTrack telescopic boom conveyors have been installed at Office Depot's warehouse in London, UK to serve multiple loading bays. When not in use, slew bearings allow the boom to move on semi-circular tracks embedded in the floor, so that they pivot away from the door to allow the loading of pallets by fork lift trucks.
A portal light can be seen at the head of the boom conveyor. This BeltTrack option can be retrofitted.

In response to customer demand, we have developed various mobile models of our classic Caljan BeltTrack telescopic boom conveyor. Fitting a system of steel castors beneath the base section of the conveyor allows the boom to traverse along the floor, so that the conveyor can serve multiple loading bays. The whole unit can be moved manually or electronically, simply by pushing directional buttons on the side of the machine. A mobility kit can be retrofitted to an existing installation.
A mobile telescopic boom conveyor is ideal if the loading bay is also used for palletised goods.
Safety is a top priority when selecting a boom conveyor supplier
All Caljan BeltTrack telescopic boom conveyors have a system of cover plates that guard the underside of the machine. This prevents worker's fingers and clothes being trapped in the mechanism. Office Depot has over 150 employees at its London site and safety is a top priority.
